This bike used to be my “cross” bike in the late 1980s when cyclocross specific bikes were as scarce as my expendable income. It then became my “all-purpose” bike in the mid-1990s and made the trip with me across the Pacific when I was living / working (and riding!) in Hong Kong. Since I now have an actual cyclocross bike, I have recently stripped this bike of gears and it has become my “go-to” bike for any local trip that encounters rough roads and / or does not require any “heavy-lifting”... |
